A gift from the Berbers of the Anti-Atlas mountains in Southern Morocco, this is the true Moroccan Mint—essential for crafting authentic North African mint tea.

Unlike much of the substandard stock commonly found under the name “Moroccan Mint,” this variety is the real deal, treasured for its bright, clean flavour and slightly spicy undertone. It is traditionally brewed with Chinese gunpowder green tea, poured from a great height, and served with generous spoonfuls of white sugar—a ritual as theatrical as it is delicious.

Botanically a form of Mentha spicata, it stands apart in both flavour and growing requirements. Unlike typical spearmints, Berber Mint craves sun and sharp drainage, thriving best in warm, dry conditions that mirror its Moroccan homeland.
